Symine Salimpour is a graduate of the Paris Law School (since 2003), author, perfume editor and jewellery designer. Since 2005 she has been the artistic director of the fine perfume brand Hors Là Monde.
She is at the origin of the Transitional Perfume method “Mommy, you speak my language!”, which aims to facilitate the acclimatisation of children adopted abroad in their families and in their host countries, as well as to accompany adoption candidates through olfactory means.
When she decided to move to the Middle East, she represented a large Brazilian jeweller in a luxury hotel. The direct and daily contacts that she will weave reinforce her artistic inclination.
Strengthened by this experience, she continued her initiatory journey in the United States and settled in New York where she created her own brand of jewellery and original fragrances under the name “Hors Là Monde” (www.horslamonde.com).
That same year, she crossed paths with Annette Green, the high priestess of perfumery who inspired her. This meeting was decisive. She became her role model.
The magic happens again in 2008 with the famous perfumer Fabrice Olivieri. He created LADY SHILOH for Hors Là Monde, which was released in 2009, and SHILOH X in 2011, which met with the same international success as SHILOH.
Her taste for raw materials in perfumery takes over. The anthropological issues linked to their cultivation as well as the working conditions and the world of farmers lead her to the essence of perfumery, well-being.
She followed Patty Canac’s training in Aromacology and continued her training in Aromacology at the French Federation of Aromatherapy. She successively obtained certificates as a practitioner in Aromacology and traditional Aromatherapy issued by the French Federation of Aromatherapy in 2020 before training in Olfactory Design at the Cinquième Sens training centre.
That same year, Symine Salimpour and perfumer Bruno Hervé met psychiatrist Renaud David, who specialises in the powers of scents, and who confirmed the avant-garde opportunity of the “Transitional Scent” method to accompany the adoption process. This meeting, followed by those of researchers and teachers at the Faculty of Sciences of the Côte d’Azur, Jérémie Topin and Jérôme Golebiowski, Brigitte Godde, who runs the Enfance Avenir adoption agency, child psychiatrist Pierre Levy-Soussan, and the famous ethnobotanist Olivier Behra, gave rise to the association PROJET CYRANO ( www.projetcyrano.com ), which places the interests and well-being of adopted children at the centre of the adoption process by olfactory means.
